Crowd Manager Training

A certified Crowd Manager is required by all national fire code standards in public assemblies such as nightclubs, auditoriums, ballrooms and arenas, that have over 50 occupants. One crowd manager must be present for every 250 individuals.

Training

The Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) in conjunction with the National Association of State Fire Marshals (NASFM), and the Maryland Fire and Burn Safety Coalition of Maryland (FABSCOM). This new system now brings our on-line crowd manager program onto a national platform to serve a more wide-spread range of people endorses the online crowd manager training.  This training complies with NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, NFPA 1 Fire Code, and International Fire Code (IFC). 

The 2-hour course covers industry standards and regulations the following:

  • Occupancy load calculation and monitoring
  • Means of egress, exit locations, and clear pathways
  • Fire protection systems and emergency announcement
  • Emergency preparedness and evacuation strategies
  • Coordinating with emergency responders

The cost per student is $24.95 and can be done anytime within a  30 day window. Certificates are offered electronically in both full size and wallet sized. Certificates are valid for two years from the date when you successfully complete the final exam in the course.
